iPhone/ iPod Touch Law of Attraction Apps

In efforts to promote our respective personal growth, I'd like to let you know about some apps for iPhone and iPod Touch that deal with the Law of Attraction. Those of you who are into the study of it will find these apps really useful! Those of you who are unfamiliar, it might just be the thing that sparks your interest into the world of Law of Attraction. Check these apps out at the Apple App Store. Some you can get for free if you hit on the right day and they're having a discount. Others, you will have to pay for, but I personally think they are worth the small fee.

iPhone/ iPod Touch Relaxation Apps

Yesterday, we discussed our workspaces - well, ok. We discussed MY workspace. ;) As you know, I've been trying to "de-clutter" and inspire growth and creativity. It seems no place is immune from things I thought I might use later and they have just remained, and I have not used them. My iPod Touch is no exception. My app space is totally filled, all 11 pages, and I also have several folders full, in addition to single apps, filling up the spaces. So, we're full up.

Now, how many of these apps do I actually USE? Hmm... Not many. Mostly I keep them on there so my son can use them if we are in the car and he gets bored on long trips. Gas prices being what they are, we don't take long trips anymore. It looks like it's time to clean out the iPod. You know it's getting to that point when you get the "message of death" (i.e. "You don't have enough room for ____ app. Delete some videos or pictures and try again.")

So, while going through my apps to figure out which to send back to MAC land (back to my iTunes, and deselected) I wanted to share some of my favorite relaxation apps with you. You can of course, find all of these on the Apple App Store.

Apps discussed in this video include: iZenGarden2, Bloom, Yoritsuki, Aqua Chimes and Wa Kingyo. I'll still be keeping these on my iPod because I love them all and couldn't bear to part with them. That being said, there are LOTS of games I have never played but figured I would - that I haven't! Those will be going back to my app storage. I never delete them mostly because it's just easier to have it stored and then go back and select it for import into your iPhone/iPod. Not only that but if you pay for something you don't want to delete it unless you really misjudged and it's absolutely horrible. lol

What are some of your favorite apps? Let me know! I would love to hear about the ones you have found, as I am a definite 'app collector' and always looking for cool apps. Everything in moderation, though, right? ;)

One Woman's Bulletin Board(s)

Ok. I have to redesign my workspace. This leads me to ask the burning question of what I wish to do with my bulletin board. A bulletin board, in and of itself, is a fabulous tool. It can be a vision statement, a memoir space, or, it can be filled with miniature surprises of intellect, color or ideas.

So, what then, is the line that separates "tool" from "clutter magnet", a "vision board" from "stuff I gotta put somewhere"? I am indecisive at this point because depending on the day, I either love or hate my bulletin board. I only hate it because sometimes, it looks like a lot of clutter to me. Other days, I can look at the same board and feel inspired because of the colors, items, or words on the pages attached to it.

To this end, I have decided to put it somewhere, where I have control over when I see it. I put it on the outside of my door to my room. That way, it is not "in my face" all the time. I might also add, I have a very small apartment, so it is difficult to find a space where it will not be omnipresent.

I might also add, I have not one, but TWO, bulletin boards. One is for "creative" things, and one is for job-related, or "real world" ventures. I have been working on combining both into one LARGE bulletin board. So instead of having two smaller boards, I will have one large one. Then of course, one has to redesign the large board. I'm working on that now. But for the time being, I have attached them to the front side of my bedroom door. It's nice to have my wall back.

I'd love to hear from you - and send pictures! - about your bulletin board. Do you have more than one? What would you say the main use for it is? How did you design it? I find these things interesting because these are very personal decisions and I like to know my readers' thought processes. I'll bet a lot of you have awesome ideas! I'd love to see them!

My Space

I have come to a very good conclusion. I don't need all of my stuff anymore. Yes. I have come to a point that I am going to be okay without it. I used to shop a lot. I am not a "hoarder" by any means, but I do like to shop. Hobby Lobby has been my favorite place in the last several years. There are some of you who may not be into the whole Hobby Lobby concept, but I am here to tell you that I would not be surprised if I helped send someone's child through school, somewhere.

And books. Oh yes. I love them. I had a lot of them. I read most of them I had, but it was a hard look to come to the hard realization I most likely was not going to read them again. I kept the books that were sentimental, that others had given me. I kept my favorite small house / mini house architecture books. Of course, I kept both Gene Simmons' books (best read I've had in years!) and various books involving unique interests. But by and large, nearly 20 books are on their way to different owners, via Half Priced Books.

I look at it this way: When I move (and it's imminent) do I really want to carry three to four more boxes of books around that I won't ever read again? Any and all of you who have ever had the adventure of moving know that you always get to the point that you "cannot lift ONE MORE BOX!"

I am taking on other things lately (of a spiritual/soul growth nature), and have decided I no longer need the old self-protection of my "armor." My self-protection was all of these objects and possessions with which I have surrounded myself in years past. Sure, they are pretty and nice, but I now look at them and say, "One person doesn't NEED all of those things!" - and then I stop, correct myself, and say, "No. I don't need all of those things." Because I "needed" them once, and so may someone else now.

That is not to say that the objects I have kept aren't in great number, but I am working on getting down to the "absolute necessities." For me, this means my music equipment (ALL OF IT! - and Lord knows there is a LOT!), DVDs, computers and CDROMS. I am trying to limit the "personal affects." I want to simplify my existence and enhance my space and growth at the same time. I want my room to be my haven and I want no confusion and no clutter. I want to be very clear in the directions I will take in my upcoming life. Therefore, I need to simply now.

I have a dream to design my own mini-house. Mini houses are houses 999 square feet and under. I love to design! I want to buy some land and have a small community of mini houses. That is on my "to do" list. I already have the land picked out where I'd build, and every time I go by, I can visualize the overall theme and landscaping. Some people might think I am nuts, but I see it, plain as day.

In order to build my own mini house, or travel by RV (another dream) obviously I must first purge the unnecessary items which are weighing my existence down. I am working on it, and I am happy to report that whomever goes to the local Goodwill the next few days is going to be getting some great Hobby Lobby stuff. I could have sold it at yard sale, but someone who might not have the usual opportunity to have Hobby Lobby items, I think, should have them. I would not have gotten much for them anyway, had I sold them. Someone's happiness is a cool thing to think about. I know those items brought me great joy at one time. I hope someone else is just as happy with them.

So my space, like my self, is evolving - and we are going in grand directions. I'm happy to be at this point and now I have to continue to foster the growth. It's exciting!

Small Victories and Remembering to Sing

As this is my first post, I wanted to start by explaining that orange is my "life color," as it corresponds to the key of D major. Somehow or another, I feel highly-vibrated when I hear or play in the key of D major. My soul "sings in tune" with the key of D. To that end, I have placed various orange-colored objects in my bedroom. I should also explain that it is more of a yellow-orange, and not a "jello orange." (I am not sure why this makes a difference, but it does. It's like when you get in the shower and you know exactly the degree of hot you want the water. Same principle.) Having different objects that color around helps remind me to sing. Sometimes, life gets difficult and we forget to sing.

Lately, I have had very large challenges placed before me and things have gotten tough. But I found somethings to raise my vibration levels and it brought me back here to tell you about it. I originally started this blog page about two years or so ago, and never did much with it. I have so many creative ideas, sometimes I think I must be part ADD. So there you go - this post is a "small victory."

Another small victory, that is getting larger: I am growing a flower. A snapdragon, to be precise. I should preface to say that in the past, I have been a terrible plant grower and I do NOT have a green thumb by any stretch of the imagination. Up until now, every one I have attempted to grow has died a horrible, twitching death. When something told me I could grow this little flower from a seed, I was so excited about it and I wanted to do it immediately.

I told my son I think I want to grow a flower and that I could do it, and he immediately gasped and said, "Mommy! What about Ralph!?" "Ralph" was our former fern. He didn't make it. I think I over-watered him. Poor Ralph. I still feel bad about it and it was about a year and a half ago. However, in the wake of Ralph's shadow, comes Vlad. Vlad the Snapdragon got so big for his small Easter egg enclosure, that he needed a new "apartment." Therefore, Vlad the Snapdragon now has a more spacious planter all to himself and I could not be more thrilled that he is still with me. Something like this may be a very small thing to some of you, but to someone like me who has never had luck growing a plant, this is very major.

I have had a revelation that I will be growing more soon, and the idea of vertical gardens is really appealing to me. I am also about to embark upon a new adventure into the world of zen gardening. I am so very excited to share my ideas with all of you! I am a highly-creative person and I love to create things from nothing, mostly having to do with decorating or enhancing a space or existence.
